The trip to Washington DC was exciting, because it was the official first leg of the tour and I was joined by award-winning theatre faculty John ADEkoje and four theatre students. After a great day presenting at the Art School Network Conference, we were given a whirlwind tour of the city, and then were treated to a beautiful book party at the home of a dear friend. Having students and teachers at a book event is so powerful and gives life to my story. I thank students Zan Headly, Clarissa Bonilla, Eddie Elliot, and Nyla Wissa for their participation and support on this journey.
